Acrylic powder mixes with acrylic liquid to become moldable and spreadable, but time and air drying will make the mixture harden and form the shapes of nails, ready to be painted with whatever creative combination of colors you choose.
New acrylic powder is applied to the area where the natural nail has grown out.
An additional thin layer of Gel (Not Gel Polish) on top of your natural nails. It's a hardener gel which then adds additional durability to your whole nail prior to applying on gel polish. Highly recommended for thin, frail, or damaged nails.

Dip powder nails—also called SNS nails—are a hybrid between gel nail polish and acrylic extensions that involve "dipping" the nail into a carton of pigmented powder. The powder is then topped with a clear sealant for a longer-lasting manicure.
Gelx is a "soft extension," meaning it artificially lengthens your nails but still feels flexible, not hard, plastic-y, and molded from, as the name says, gel.
A special blend of gel is applied to the area where the natural nail has grown out. The technician will blend the new gel with the existing Gel-X nail to create a seamless look. Doing so will be less damaging to your new nail bed.
A manicure consists of filing and shaping the free edge, pushing and clipping (with a cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers) any nonliving tissue (but limited to the cuticle and hangnails), treatments with various liquids, massage of the hand, and the application of regular polish. For Gel Polish its an additional $15.
